How to Draw a Snow Woman Step by Step
Start by drawing a semi circle for your snow woman’s head. It’s like drawing a circle but you leave the top end open. Add the long triangle for the snow woman’s nose.
Draw a big bow in the space on top of the head that you have left open. This bow looks a little different because it is laying on it’s side atop the snow woman’s head.
Our next step makes the bow really stand out. Draw the new parts of the bow as shown in the example, now the bow looks more 3D. Add a scarf, this will highlight the snow woman’s neck and keep her warm.
Let’s start drawing in the snow woman’s body by drawing a bigger circle than the head under the scarf. Next we will draw six lines under this circle to form the skirt. Notice the image, the two lines at the very end curve out more then the others, the next line curve slightly and the two in the middle are much straighter.
FUN FACT: The worlds tallest snowman was 114 feet, that’s as tall as a 10 story building!
Let’s go back to Sophie the snow woman’s head and add two big coal eyes and a coal smile. Sophie will need coal buttons going down her top next. Now add lines to the scarf to form a pattern.
Let’s work on Sophie’s skirt next. Close up the lines you added before with a curved line and now you have a ruffled skirt. Add the last part of Sophie the snow woman’s body by adding the biggest circle under the skirt.
Now let’s give Sophie some arms. Draw a stick on either side of her middle section.
Next add an oval to each stick, a curved line inside makes the sticks look like they are going inside of the ovals, which is good because these are the start of Sophie’s gloves.
Now draw a mitten shape onto the oval shape on each side. Do you see how our snow woman really looks like she is wearing the mittens?
