The legend of Santa Claus began in the fourth century AD in what is now called Turkey. A man named Nicolas became the bishop of a village called Myra and became famous for his extraordinary generosity, including how he gave gifts to the impoverished people who lived there. The idea of Santa as we know him today came from a book called The Night before Christmas. This is a very easy drawing guide tutorial showing how to draw a cute Santa Claus step by step.
How to Draw a Cute Santa Claus Step by Step
Start by drawing too big circles, draw a circle in the middle of each for the pupil. Next draw another smaller circle under and to the side of the pupil, this will be the highlight of the eye. Fill in the larger circle black (Or any other eye color you would like.)
Now let’s add two crescents above the eyes, these are the eyebrows. A circle in the middle and underneath the eyes will be the nose.
Big Eyes Small Nose = Cuteness
Now we can add a moustache to our Santa nose, it almost looks like a mermaid tail!
Next we will draw in the face, draw a line that starts at one side of the moustache and surrounds the eye area and cheeks and keep going until you get to the other side of the moustache.
Let’s add some ears, if you look at the example you will see that they are half circles with lines inside that resemble side ways Ys. This is a great way to draw an ear for most cartoon drawings because the ear will be simple to draw and look pretty cute.
Now we can finish the beard. It starts off below the ears in a rounded shape that ends in a point right below the center of the moustache.
Let’s add the band of Santa’s hat to his head.
Next we can draw in more of the Santa hat like the example shows.
We will finish the hat by drawing a pom pom shape to the very end. It looks like a puffy cloud.
