Lettertoons are a method of drawing that turns a letter into something that starts with that letter. It’s an idea that I came up with while making videos of myself turning words into drawings. This is a drawing guide on how to draw a Giraffe lettertoon with the letter G, I hope you enjoy it.
How to Draw a Giraffe Lettertoon Step by Step
Let’s start by drawing a capital letter G.
Extend the top of the G so that it dips down as shown, draw a tiny mountain at the end.
The little mountain will become the Giraffe nose. Draw the line that makes his smile. Draw the rest of the Giraffe head like you see in our example.
Let’s draw his eye now. It looks like a petal that is divided in half. The eye is a half circle with a dot for the pupil. Draw a circle inside the little mountain for his nose.
Let’s draw the Giraffe ear now.
Draw the Giraffe’s second ear. Draw the nubby “horns” on top of his head.
Some of the lines that make up the G are still showing at this point. We will cover them up by making the markings on the Giraffe. Draw the squares as they are shown above to make them disappear.
Draw the lines underneath the head that make the neck. Draw the curving lines that go along the neck.
Add the squares that go up and down the neck as shown.
